South West Regional league day 8. Back-to-back win for Mount Cameroon FC....by Jemea Teke Ndumbe


 After defeating the mountain boys last week, the lava boys once again truimph over group rivals EEMSA at the molyko stadium.

The match which was to start at 1pm, started at 1:34pm due to the heavy rains in the municipality. The officials of both teams agreed to play the match despite the poor nature of the pitch.

Mount Cameroon dominated the first 25 minutes of the game but ironically EEMSA created more scoring chances during period of the game.

The poor nature of the pitch prevented free flowing football from both sides.


Defensive lapses on the part of EEMSA parved a green light for Kelvin Kang who made no mistake as he opened scores at the 40th minute for 1-0 mount cameroon fc. At half time it was 1-0 in favour of the lava boys.

As the second half resumed, EEMSA was on the driving force as they tried to dictate the game but naive in front of goal.


Mount cameroon once again benefited from lack of concentration on the part of EEMSA as Kelvin Kang scored a brace at 63rd minute making it  two for mount cameroon and nothing for EEMSA.

The defensive wall of mount cameroon fc master minded by player-coach Mutia Jonathan frustrated the attackers of EEMSA but  they could only manage two shorts on target through out the game.

Full time score mount cameroon 2-0 EEMSA.

The second game at the molyko stadium ended with a four goal triller as Victoria United alliaz OPOPO came from one goal down to level scores 2-2 at the end 90 minutes against CINYODEF FA.
