African Football :CAF agrees replay of champions league final..by Jemea Teke Ndumbe .


CAF executive commitee agreed on wednesday to replay the CAF champions league second leg final between Esperance of Tunis and Wyhad Casablanca.

This comes after intense protest from Wyhad camp. Since the VAR was unavailable to look into their disallowed goal in the second leg final played last Friday.


 According to Hedi Hamel the executive advisor, the security conditions of the match was not the best and so, prevented a positive end of match.

By implications, Esperance who had been declaired winners of this years competition, will now have to bring back the trophy and medals to the CAF secretariate.


Esperance on their part, are not willing to do so.They have decided to take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

The final is to be played on a neutral ground in South Africa, and will be played after the AFCON on a date, is to be announced.
