Group F of the African Cup of Nations is made up of defending champions Cameroon, 4 time champs Ghana, Benin and Guinea Bissau.

Cameroon:

The defending champions who were to host this year's edition were stripped off their hosting  rights 7 months to the competition and was given to Egypt in January this year.

Cameroon however, confirmed their participation in this year's competition with 3-0 win over Comoros.

 Finishing runners up behind Morocco with thesame  point tally but the former had a  lesser goal difference.

 The indomitable lions recorded 3 victories, 2 draws and 1 defeat scoring 6 and conceding 3.

This is Cameroon's 19th appearance in the all Pan African football tournament as they have lifted the trophy 5 times (1984,1988,2000,2002&2017).

Clarence Clyde Seedorf will rely on Ajax Amterdam's shot stopper Andre Onana who is seen by many as Cameroon's best foriegn based player this season after leading his team Ajax to the semi finals of this year's UEFA champions league.


Villareal's Karl Toko Ekambi, Ambroise Oyongo of Montpellier and Eric Choupo- Moting are also key players to defend the great triangle of Cameroon.

Ghana:

The black stars of Ghana qualified as group F winners with 9 points, Kenya 7 points, Ethiopia 1 and Sierra Leone sanctioned after two games.

This is Ghana's 22nd appearance in the pan African football tournament and have won the competition 4 times(1963,1965,1978&1982).

James Kwesi Appiah will rely on new captain Andre Rami Ayew of Fenerbahce, all time top scorer Gyan Assamoah and Crystal Palace, forward Jordan Ayew to defend the first black African independent nation.


Benin:

The squirrels of Benin qualified as group D runners up with 10 points behind Algeria with 11points,Gambia 6 and Togo 5 points. They recorded 3 wins,2 draws and 1loss scoring 5 and conceded 6 goals.

This will be their 4th appearance in the all African football and have never crossed the group stage.

Coach Michael Dussuyer will rely on Genclerbirligi midfielder Stephane Sessegnon and Huddersfield town forward Steve Mounie who scored twice during the qualifiers.

Guinea Bissau:

Runners up in group K with 9 points ahead of Namibia with 8 points, Mozambique 8 points and Zambia with 7. They recorded 2 wins, 3 draws and 1loss scoring 8 and conceding 7goals.

This will be their second appearance and are yet to cross the group stages.

Coach Baciro Cande will rely on Palemo's Carlos Embalo and Frederic Mendy who scored three goals in the qualifiers.
