The Cathage eagles of Tunisia  qualified as group J winners with 15points, Egypt 13points, Niger and Eswatini finished 5 and 1 points respectively. They won 5 games and lost 1.


This will be their 19th appearance and have lilfed the competition ones on home soil in 2004.

Alain Jean Giresse will rely on Naim Sliti who scored four goals during the qualifiers, Saint -Ethienne forward Wahbi Khazi to defend the north africa giants.

Mali:

The eagles emerged winners of group C with 14points ahead of Burundi 10points, Gabon 8points and South Sudan no point. Recording 4wins and 2draws.

This is their 11th appearance in the tournament. Their best performance was in the 1972 edition in Cameroon where they were runners up to Congo Brazzaville.

Mohamed Mayassouba will rely on Adama Traore, Kalifa Coulibali who both scored two goals each, Yousouf Kobe of Lille and captain Abdoulay Diaby of Sporting Lisbon.


Maurintania:

The lions of chinguetti were runners up in group I with 12points, same for Angola, Burkina faso 10points and 1point for Bostwana. They recorded 4wins and 2loses. This is their first ever participation in the competition.

Corentin Da Silva Martin will rely on home base Ismael Diakite from ASAC Concorde who scored three goals in the qualifiers, AS Gabes striker Moulaye Ahmed Khalil and Real Valadolid's El Ide.

Angola:

The former Portuguesse colony qualified as group I winners with 12points recording 4wins and 2 loses. They scored 9goals and conceded 8.


This will be their 7th appearance in afcon as they have managed to reach the quarter finals twice in their history (2008&2010).

Srdan Vasiljevic will rely on Sporting lisbon's Gelson Dala, Mateus Galian Da Costa who scored four goals during the qualifiers to defend the colors of Angola.
