SDF calls for immediate, uncoditional release of party chairman...by Hycenth Chia

The SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC FRONT, SDF party has called for the immediate and uncondtional release of chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi who was brutally kidnapped yesterday, 28 June by unknown armed men.                                 The party in a press release, expresses anger over the disrespect and maltreatment of their party boss who just returned from the hospital barely an hour before his kidnap.       Fru Ndi was taken out of his Ntarikon resident, Bamenda at about 3:25 pm while at the dining table, trying to eat some food to take his drugs thereafter.                    One of his guards was allergely shot on the leg and was immediately rushed to the hospital where he is responding to treatment.                The eight armed men who stormed Fru Ndi's resident were said to be dressed in civil attire. Road accident : Heavy truck falls at Mvog mbi yde... By Romeo Nkenyi

 A heavy truck whose itinary was from Mvan to down town Yaounde has fallen at the Mvog mbi neighborhood. The accident occurred on Saturday June,  29 at 6am. Eye witness say the driver was on a high speed and failed to negotiate the bend opposite the mvog mbi market. No human life has been lost.  The truck driver is safe. The accident has perturbed movement along the high way given that this road leads to the central town and the airport. Two giants in the African game will exchange ballistic missiles on Saturday June 29, 2019. Ghana and Cameroon have a total of 9 afcon titles between them with the Ghana winning four and Cameroon with five titles.  Ghana go into this game with a dissapointing draw in their opening afcon game as they were held by Benin 2-2 on tuesday. It should be noted that the black stars have never gone back-to-back afcon games without a win  game since 1998 when they lost two back-to-back games against Togo(2-1) and DR Congo (1-0).  Cameroon on their own part, won a their first game 2-0 against Guinea Bissau. It should be noted that Cameroon is winning her first match in the afcon since 2006.  Round two matches of the on going africa cup of nations began yesterday as tournament favourites Egypt and Nigeria became the first two teams to qualify for the round of 16. A Kenneth Omeru goal proved to be the winner as Nigeria beat Guinea in a group B clash 1-0. This puts the super eagles top of their group  with 6points. It should be noted that Nigeria is unbeaten on 8 afcon matches winning 5 and drawing three in the process.  In the second game of the day, suprise package Uganda were held to a 1-1 draw by Zimbabwe as Emmanuel Okwi for Uganda and Khama Billiat for Zimbabwe ensured the points were shared by both sides. The last game of the day saw the host Egypt confortable pass through DR Congo as goals from El Mohamadi and Moh Salah were enough to see the host emerged victorious.  The total Africa cup of nations kicked off on June 21,2019 as host Egypt put one pass the warriors of Zimbabwe. So far round matches have come and gone with a total of 12matches played with 9wins and 3 draws. 27goals were scored in the process with the game Mali vs Mauritania recording the most goals as Mali won 4-1. The group with the most goals is group E with 7goals. Top scorer so far is Benin's Mickael Pote with 2goals.  However strong favourites like Algeria, Senegal, and Cameroon all won convincingly as they scored twice without reply from their openents. The first half of the game saw the menace of Zimbabwean players by the of Egyptian team Though the national outfits of Zimbabwe tried to withstand, Egyptian player Trezeguet shaken their net at exactly 41 minutes of the first 45 minutes. The second half of the game saw more pressure coming from both teams with numerous attempts.  Goalkeeper Sibanda of Zimbabwe went out at the 78 minutes of the the game due to a spring , leaving Elvis to finish  the remaining 12 minutes of the encounter.  The 2019 afcon kicks off in less than 24hours as host Egypt clash with Zimbabwe at the Cairo international Stadium  on Friday June 21 2019 @21:00. Egypt will be playing Zimbabwe, DR Congo and Uganda in the group stage. Egypt have played these 3teams 8times winning 7 and losing 1. The pharaohs have never lost against week opponents and they have conceded just one goal accross 4 fixtures. Egypt have reached the final in their last 4afcons and have lost just one game in 25games which was the final in 2017 loss to Cameroon, won 18, drawn 6. Group F of the African Cup of Nations is made up of defending champions Cameroon, 4 time champs Ghana, Benin and Guinea Bissau. Cameroon: The defending champions who were to host this year's edition were stripped off their hosting  rights 7 months to the competition and was given to Egypt in January this year. Cameroon however, confirmed their participation in this year's competition with 3-0 win over Comoros.  Finishing runners up behind Morocco with thesame  point tally but the former had a  lesser goal difference.  The indomitable lions recorded 3 victories, 2 draws and 1 defeat scoring 6 and conceding 3. This is Cameroon's 19th appearance in the all Pan African football tournament as they have lifted the trophy 5 times (1984,1988,2000,2002&2017).
