Continental FC of Buea came from one goal down to beat Mount Cameroon FCof Buea yesterday at the molyko omnisport stadium by 3-2.

The match kicked off at 1:30pm as Mount Cameroon dominated the first stages of the first half precisely the first ten minutes the lava boys took the game to continental where they break the deadluck at the 11th minute benefiting from a sloggish defense line of Continental FC as Boroko Blake opened scores for Mount cameroon 1 and continental 0.


 Mount Cameroon after taking the lead at the 11th minute, the lava boys had brilliant chances to put the game to bed but squandered their chances as it finally hunted in the course of the game as continental scored two goals in two minutes as Eyong Karlson got the equalizer for Continental FC at the 41st minute and Terrence Molango at the 43rd minute to put Continental FC 2-1 up against the lava boys. Going into the interval, the first score 2 for Continental and 1 for Mount Cameroon fc.

After half time talks from both coaches, the two teams returned for the second half as this was the turn of Continental to dictate the pace of the game as they started dominating the second stanza of the game by  doubling their lead at the 67th minute with a brilliant strike from Mbungkah Robert making it 3 for Continental fc and 1 for Mount Cameroon fc.

At this point continental fc could have suffered the same faith the lava boys suffered at the first half where they lost so many chances but continental were able to manage their game though Mount Cameroon again benefited from instability at the defense of Continental fc as they were awarded a penalty at the 80th minute which they scored.




The final ten minutes was a do or die affair as Continental fc protected their lead despite intense preasure from the lava boys to find an equalizer but after 90minutes, it was 3 for continental fc and 2 for Mount Cameroon FC of Buea.

Kagawa Mondi, the charismatic play maker: who is he?

Mondi Kagawa is a professional footballer with the Cameroon professional football  league.  He currently ply his trade with Public works department ( PWD) , a division one outfit from the North west regional capital of Cameroon. The batibo native from Momo division, has been with PWD since 2014. A year after he completed secondary school studies at Government technical high school Bamenda, obtaining a baccalaureate in wood work. With PWD,  Kagawa is counted amongst the armada of players that helped the team in 2018 to get promoted to top-tier league.
