Continental FC once again emerged victorious against local rival mount cameroon fc 1-0. This second successive victory came after the boys of Lazare Mbounya defeated the lava boys in the reverse fixture last sunday 3-2 at the molyko stadium.
The game which was to start at 3pm, began at 3:30pm due to the late arrival of team continental.
The game started with continental dictating the pace of the game in the first stanza. So many glearing chances from continental to put the game to bed especial the chances of Junior Kome and Robert Mbungkah at the 26th&35th minutes respectively.
Credit be given to Dini Peter the goalkeeper for mount cameroon fc who made brilliant saves to keep the lava boys in the game. At the interval,the score line was 0-0.
Going into the second half, continental maintained their dominance over the boys of Mutia Jonathan. The calabash was finally broken as substitude Blaise Ngeneh netted the only goal of the game at the 76th minute for making it one for continental and zero for mount cameroon.
Despite the brilliant agility of goalkeeper Dini Peter and the presence of player-coach in the field of play, Mount cameroon fc had just one shot on target through out the game which came at the 54th minute
Though the lava boys created some chances to level scores, the final score was one for continental and zero for mount cameroon.
coach Lazare Mbounya, told RNNR reporter that he does not want to speak to the press.
"I will not like to talk to the press untill we qualify for the mini interpole". The words of Lazare Mbounya.
