Premier league : Chris Hughton leaves Brighton.... By Jemea Teke Ndumbe

 After securing premier league status for next season, Brighton's manager Christopher Williams Gerard pathed company with his club on  monday May 13, 2019.

 The 60years old has been with the team for 4 years and half.He led them to Seagulls premier league this season.

 Christopher Hughton signed in as manager of the club on December 31, 2014. He won his first encounter against Brendford 2-0 in FA cup third round on january 3,2015.

On april 17,2017, he secured qualification ticket for Brighton to the premier league by 2-1 against wigan.

 He led the club to 15th position with 40 points in 2017-18 season and became the first black to win the premier league as manager, in february 2018.

Brighton has performed poorly in 2019 season by securing only 11 points  as compared to the 28 points in the first half of the season.

 They played 38 games, won  9 , lost 20 encounters ,earning them 36 points.


Reports also say Hugton's assistant Paul Trollope and first team coach Paul Nevin have all left the club.
