Politics: Tibor Nagy unhappy with CMR gov't efforts in solving crisis... By Okie Jah Simon Okie


The US secretary of state for African affairs has expressed his disappointment on president paul Biya for doing nothing to hault the Anglophone crisis in the Northwest and southwest regions of cameroon.



Addressing members of the US Congress committee on foreign Affairs , Thursday may 16 ,Tibor P Nagy said that the regime has given dead ears to the numerous appeal for dialogue despite the promise made to him by the head of state to engage in dialogue.


 Tibor  Nagy also holds the military responsible for fueling the humanitarian crisis through their brutality and destruction of villages and property as he reiterating " Cameroon has done nothing to resolve the conflict ."I sat with President Paul Biya a couple of months ago and he told me ,you know we are interested in dialogue .But the government has done nothing to show for" Nagy said


"They set up institutions which have not done anything and the military still continue to burn down villages and towns while armless civilian are forced to flee into the bushes", he added


Tibor Nagy insisted that dialogue remains the only remedy to solving the crisis .While taking questions from members on the issue at hand.

 " The best we can do right now , is really making Cameroonian government understand the need for a real dialogue but if it does not happen , We have other tools and possibilities of sanction", the US state man added
