Playoff: Bamboutos $ Canon separate on a difficult draw.... By Romeo Nkenyi


 Bamboutos FC of mbouda and canon FC of Yaounde have played a 1-1 tie during a day 3 game of the elite 2 playoff at the Yaounde military stadium.

Sunday's confrontation was characterised by heavy down pour.

Bamboutos'attack man,  Rene  Ndi opened score at the 40th minute ,18m from opponent's goal post.

The goal generated from a series of individual dribbles.

The second segment of the encounter saw canon mount more pressure on their antagonists but the slippery nature of the turf will not allow the actors to express their football fundamentals at will.



Canon's captain , Axel Ndzana equalised at the 96th following a penalty granted to them.

The game was marked by a panoply of turbulences especially from canon's player whom at one point stopped at nothing throwing keeper Cedric Njomo's towel  out of the field of play.

The situation almost degenerated into a punching game between fans of both squads.

Bamboutos' hopes  of qualifying for elite one have been minimised.  The now have two points in three outings while Canon have 4 points for the same number of games.

Kagawa Mondi, the charismatic play maker: who is he?

Mondi Kagawa is a professional footballer with the Cameroon professional football  league.  He currently ply his trade with Public works department ( PWD) , a division one outfit from the North west regional capital of Cameroon. The batibo native from Momo division, has been with PWD since 2014. A year after he completed secondary school studies at Government technical high school Bamenda, obtaining a baccalaureate in wood work.
