Education :Nursery and primary school kids prepare for summer vacation.... By Ingrid kengne
The nursery school pupils of PETOU bilingual complex, located at the Nkoabang neighborhood Yaounde, have kicked off with preparations against the end of year activities of the ongoing 2018/2019 academic year.
The kids are engaged in diverse activities such as rhymes, ballets, newscasts, and sketches.
According to Mrs. Makum Wedeline a nursery two teacher,they want the kids to showcase what they have been studying in school to their parents and other invitees.
The end of the academic year festivities, is aim at proving to the outside world that nursery school, is not just a place to keep little children, but rather an educational milieu that lays the foundation for every child's success.
Mrs. Vivian,the nursery one teacher says,they are facing a lots of difficulties in training the children. Some activities such as news and sketches requires a lots of stress for the teacher, as well as the children."she outlined
"Brilliant kids on their part use less time to grape their scripts.."she added
These activities are now a daily routine in nursery and primary schools across the national territory .
Meantime , preparations are currently going on in most schools, for the upcoming Cameroon's National Day celebrated on may 20th.
Since 2016, the day is only observed in the eight French speaking regions of Cameroon because the only two English speaking regions of the country have been witnessing socio-political crisis all these while.
It is worth noting that education has been jeopardized in these regions at all stages due to the security instability.
