Education : Kids of groupe scolaire Petou Tembo go on vacation... By Ingrid Kengne


 The nursery and primary school pupils of Petou bilingual  complex on May 29 marked the end of the 2018/2019 academic year with a host of festive activities.

It was a gallate atmosphere as parents came in their numbers to watch the different activities displayed  by their offsprings.

Uniformly dressed in their usual white outfit over pairs of black shoes, the nursery school children  welcomed their guests with a speech and a song. To perform their patriotic duty, the youngsters sang the national anthem after hoisting the flag.


Amongst the host of activities presented were; poems, sketches, rhymes, ballets, chair dance, playback, fashion parade and a newscast  presented by the kids .

All the 200 nursery school kids received a gift each or more at the end. The joy for these gifts was visible on their faces. " I am very happy for my gifts and I will work harder for more ", said Adel Mballa one of the school kids.

 

The program started at 10:00 and ended at 1:45 with the  head teacher Mr Kamga , thanking  the guests and wishing them  a safe return to their various destinations as they prepare for next year.

Kagawa Mondi, the charismatic play maker: who is he?

Mondi Kagawa is a professional footballer with the Cameroon professional football  league.  He currently ply his trade with Public works department ( PWD) , a division one outfit from the North west regional capital of Cameroon. The batibo native from Momo division, has been with PWD since 2014. A year after he completed secondary school studies at Government technical high school Bamenda, obtaining a baccalaureate in wood work. With PWD,  Kagawa is counted amongst the armada of players that helped the team in 2018 to get promoted to top-tier league.
