Cameroon: some 30 "Amba boys" lay down Arms in Kumba, report says...... By Okie Jah Simon Okie

About thirty boys who presented themselves as Ambazonian fighters have surrendered to the government.

This was during the prime minister's visit to kumba, meme division of the southwest region Thursday, may 16 .
The head of government pleaded with the local population to ensure that school resumes  next academic year effectively.

The chief minister  outlined in his speech that ,Government has decided to repay all those who have lost properties in the course of the crisis when it comes to an end.

While addressing  health workers  of the kumba District Hospital,  Dr Joseph Dion Ngute described them  as "INDOMITABLE LIONS OF HELP" for braving all security threats to treat and saving  the lives of patients .

It is Dion Ngute's first official visit to  his region of origin, ever since he was made Prime Minister of Cameroon.

The PM has also  reassured the population that president Paul Biya will soon dialogue with separatists to find long lasting solutions to the socio -political crisis unfolding in the Northwest and southwest regions of the country since 2016.

The kumba District Hospital  was attacked and burnt earlier  this year in the month of February leaving an unanswered question on who are responsible for the destruction of the hospital .

Chief Dion Ngute is visiting the regions at the time when the UN security Council is strictly scrutinising the issue and Cameroon's report card is seemly filled with red ink.

US secretary of state to Africa  Tibor Nagy recently said Cameroon government has done nothing to solve the political manoeuvre.
