Air transport: military helicopter 🚁 🚁 crashes in Oku, NWR... By Okie Jah Simon Okie

  A military helicopter 737 max 8, has wreck today Monday 13 May 2019 around Elak village in Oku, Bui division in the north west region of Cameroon.


The 737 max 8 helicopter took off around 11am this morning from Tobin municipal field and later came down with an uncontrollable speed.




  BBC Afrique reported that a police officer died in course of the accident while six other persons were seriously wounded ,including some top administrators of Bui division.

"The victims of the incident were heading to their job sites", the media organ added


  Inhabitants of the vicinity  say military patrols in air and on land, has been so frequent these days, in order to track down Amazonian fighters.

Bui division is counted among the diverse areas in the Northwest region that has been greatly affected by the ongoing socio-political crisis in the English speaking parts of Cameroon, that started in 2016.
