2019 Labor Day in Douala

Douala : Labor Day preparations on speedy mood.

  The economic capital of Cameroon, Douala is charged with the preparation of the celebration of labor day. Both civil servants and business men are eagerly waiting for May 1st. 

   The upcoming labor day stems from the efforts of the labor union movement to celebrate the economic and social achievements of workers.
Business is set to be booming ahead of the fiesta.

According to POUPOH OSCARLINE a Brazilian hair vendor in marche de la gar in Newbell Douala, labor day is a day where workers of all classes come together share food and drinks among themselves ."my business is at least flourishing as weman buy their Brazilian hairs to beautify themselves with that day, she adds.
She however outings that
things are not moving on same speed for her this year like it was last year".

Mss PAPITE SOLANGE is a business woman who deals with woman sandals for her part She says things are hard as life is becoming more expensive.

 People are in pain and suffering ".

 Almost every business man or woman and some civil servants you meet on the street are all cring of how hard life have became.

To  Gwang treasure a shoes vendor,If God permits her to see the 1st of May, she will be happy.

 For Blandine Maible, she says"Labor day of 2019 will not be the best compared to that of 2014  because of high level of poverty in our country.

With all this things in people's mind, we can therefore say only the 1st of May will tell.

Kagawa Mondi, the charismatic play maker: who is he?

Mondi Kagawa is a professional footballer with the Cameroon professional football  league.  He currently ply his trade with Public works department ( PWD) , a division one outfit from the North west regional capital of Cameroon. The batibo native from Momo division, has been with PWD since 2014. A year after he completed secondary school studies at Government technical high school Bamenda, obtaining a baccalaureate in wood work. With PWD,  Kagawa is counted amongst the armada of players that helped the team in 2018 to get promoted to top-tier league.
