PWD Kumba is the new king of  the south west region as they beat Continental FA 3-0 at the Victoria sentinary stadium. PWD Kumba (Meme Works) surprised many as they came into the play offs as underdogs but they set up the greatest upset of the season when they defeated LIFCA 1-0 on matchday 2 of the play offs. Going into the final day LIFCA needed to win NQSA and hope Continental FA will do them some favour but things did not go as planned as a brace from striker Ebile Namse and Bertrand Nkah were enough to see Meme Works qualify for the national interpole.  It should be noted that both matches started at 3pm. This was to avoid match fixing and to maintain some level of transparency in the competition. LIFCA on their part defeated NQSA 6-0 in the other game played at the middle farms stadium. A brace from Gwe Beckly, Clinton Kwe, Moki Franklin, Yan Essome and Tabi Ashu all scored one goal each. Classification table of the mini interpole. 1.PWD Kumba 7pts(W2, D1

The Bafana Bafana of South Africa eliminates The phoroahs of Egypt at the 8th finals of the Afcon with a brilliant one nil victory.    A very tough encounter, that almost ended in a goalless draw on regular playing time but a Thembinkosi Lorch fantastic strike at the 85th minutes took the South African boys to a memorable quarter finals.            A bitter pill to swallow as Mohamed Salah and team mates finished the last few minutes of the encounter in tears.              Many football pundits had under extimated the Bafana Bafana given that they managed to qualify for the 8th finals as one of the four 3rd place best teams with just 3 points.    They could only get a single win over Namibia in their 3 group stage matches.              The phoroahs on the other hand had a briliant run at the group stage winning all 3 matches and recording 9 points and topping group A.    The Egyptian defeat really turned out to be a national desaster as earlier described by the

Nigeria and Cameroon clash in the round of 16 of  the ongoing afcon in Egypt today,  Saturday July 6,2019 @17:00. Nigeria needed a draw to finish top of group B but were shocked as litle known Madagasca defeated them 2-0. The defeat meant Nigeria will finish second in their group and will play the second place team in group F. Cameroon for their part knew that a second place finish will set up a round of 16 clash against Nigeria and so needed a win against Benin. The reason is simple Ghana scored 4 goals in three games and Cameroon scored 2goals in three matches.  Since independence, Cameroon and Nigeria have met 22 times with Nigeria harvesting 11wins; Cameroon ,4wins and 7draws.
